“Our first annual Caribbean Real Estate and Investment Summit was a huge success and a testament to the continued interest and strength of this regional market,” said Gina de Varona, managing partner at The Agency South Florida. “We’re thrilled to have served as the host site for this collaborative and educational event, with so many of our colleagues from far and wide joining us, including representatives from the Dominican Republic, The Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Saint Lucia, the Cayman Islands and more. We look forward to continuing to bridge the gap in the market as we further The Agency’s footprint in South Florida and the Caribbean.”
The summit covered everything from a market wide look at regional trends to examining how to actually purchase real estate in various Caribbean destinations from the Dominican Republic to the Cayman Islands.
It only underscored what continues to be a booming market at the regional level, from citizenship by investment fueled development in destinations like Antigua, St Kitts, Dominica and Saint Lucia to surging growth in markets like the Cayman Islands and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
“It was great to meet with so many individuals in the industry from across the Caribbean,” said Ian Hurdle, broker/founder of The Agency in Turks and Caicos. “I think the number of attendees from so many different countries shows that the real estate market is in an incredibly healthy position across the region.”
